Just read up on the  school days ep 12!!!

and it looks like my wish had been answered, in a most original and brutal fashion. I won’t spoil it, but it looks like they combined several bad endings into 1.

Check out the summary by Random Curiosity  if you want to find out more. Definitely not for the squeemish. Man, that was pretty grim…

Now that Danny has posted up the winners of his contest, I’m now free to actually post this figure up!

I have made no attempt in hiding my general dislike for PVC figures in the communities I am a part of. For me, the building process is as important, if not more so than the finished product so I have usually chosen to go for unpainted resin kits over a mass produced PVC. There are, however, exceptions. They are few and far between (the most recent ones being the Shuraki figures and Mirei-san by Shunya Yamashita) as they really have to stand out for me to take notice. Like this one.

KOS-MOS from Xenosaga Episode 1!

KOS-MOS has been one of my fave video game characters in recent memory and this atypical pose for her has been one of the best renditions of her first form, so I had to get it! I also have the BOME version, but like nearly all BOME figures, I found the pose to be very dull and static. Which is another reason why i tend to shy away from PVC figures.

The 3rd kit in my WF spree arrived this morning! This kit did get a certain level of Buzz before the event but it died down after everyone started focusing on C.C. Not to be forgotten, however, I bought myself a figure of Shirley Fennett from Code Geass modeled by Ryun Ryun Tei. In swimwear!!!

Now all that is left is my YoikoQ C.C and Ignis the red. Unfortunately, they will probably not arrive for some time. But they will arrive eventually! But for now, first impressions of Shirley after the jump.

Late news, but in any case…

Gunota has confirmed that the next Master grade kit after the release of destiny will be Gundam Unicorn, a main mecha from a novel which is currently being serialised in gundam Ace magazine.

From what we have been told, the unicorn will be able to switch from it’s normal mode to the more traditional looking “destroy mode.”From the pic above, my guess is that the transformation will be done with replacing parts as opposed to sliding them to open the mecha up.

For those who have not seen the unicorn, here’s the promo which was shown at chara hobby 07. It has a brief showing of an animated unicorn at the end when it transforms into it’s destroy mode.

I will probably get one out of curiosity, but I am left to question why Bandai have chosen to release a master grade kit of a unit which is still very new and not as widely recognized as others in the franchise which have yet to receive the MG treatment and probably isn’t yet as popular.

Or in other words, “Where’s my MG V2 Assault buster gundam, DAMMIT!!!!”

It’s been quite some time since I posted anything about my current figure project, so i thought an update is in order. Luckily, she hasn’t stalled yet!! They say that preparation is half the battle. That certainly would be the case here…

When we last left Mina, her preliminary fitting was done and excess flash was removed but that was about it. After that came the cleaning. Obviously, you couldn’t leave the flash marks and seam lines as they were, otherwise they would show up really badly when you came to the painting phase. (more after the jump)

I really should have posted this yesterday but I was tired.

It would appear that the last episode of school days was cancelled at the last minute and replaced with some nature show! It was later confirmed that the ep was pulled due to news of the girl who killed her father with an axe… Most other channels which were due to show the ep have also stated that they will not show the episode, so it’s looking increasingly like we’ll have to wait for the DVD release to find out what happens. On the plus side, this pretty much guarantees that we are looking at a “bad” ending which makes my suffering through the earlier eps seem worth it.

From the looks of the penultimate ep, I think we are looking at the Sekai bad ending “To My children,” Though I’m still hopeful for a “bloody conclusion” ending!

Check out the school days wiki for a little more info on the bad endings. Sufficed to say, the bloody conclusion is probably the most (in)famous…

*ahem*

キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━

They say that patience is a virtue… Sometimes, maybe not so, but in any case, Orbital Manga finally managed to get in my revolvtech Dangaioh!! (thanks guys!)

This would be my 3rd revolvtech but there was no way I was going to say no to a figure of one of my favourite mecha designs of all time!! In fact, I think this may be the only figure of this mecha! Aside from the revolvtech dangaioh and a couple of resin kits of the female pilots and possibly a fix pose version of the mecha itself which can be found in the recesses of Yahoo! Japan Auction, I don’t think there is any dangaioh merchandise out there! I would love to see a fully transformable version!! In any case, review and more pics after the jump! Click on the pics for larger versions!

Normally I wouldn’t post something like this…

But this is just INSANE!!!! Check out the final minute and 30 seconds. Words fail me…

For those of you who don’t visit figure.fm, the first 2 kits from my wonder festival shopping spree have arrived from Japan!! I posted the pic over at figure.fm earlier this week but I hadn’t even taken them out of their packaging by that point.

In any case, here are 2 of my purchases from FW summer 07, Cerberus Project Ignis from Jingai Makyou and Jet Streams rendition of C.C from Code Geass!

You will probably recognize them from my previous posts on Wonfest kits which interested me. I haven’t done much to them so far, only removed the really big flash parts and one a very basic parts fit to make sure I wasn’t missing any pieces but even that was enough to impress me so I thought I would post my initial impressions. You can read them after the jump.
