If there is enough interest, maybe. But there are plenty of sites out there for that kind of stuff. And, in the end, it all comes down to experience more than anything. So long as you don't forget any tools, then I say, blast away and find out what suits you best!

Ebay is probably your best bet. I've only seen a handful of airbrush sets around my area and that's central london!!! and the prices are prohibitive to say the least...

Yup, All compressors run on mains power. But you can't see the mains cable in the pic. If you are talking about the 2 cables on the right of the pic above, they're actually 1. It's what connects the compressor to the pressure regulator and moisture trap(the glass cylinder).
When everything is connected, the regulator will automatically stop the compressor pump once a certain pressure is reached. It will also start it again if it drops to below a certain pressure, for constant airflow when painting.

It's a very good idea to make sure you have one of those if you are thinking about buying a compressor. Mine came with the kit.

The other cable just connects the regulator to the actual airbrush.

That is what I want to know!!! As I said in my post, my compressor and airbrush cost me £100 together, with most of that going towards the compressor, which is fair cos the thing is big and heavy.

But when I was shopping around for an airbrush, I nearly made stains in my pants after seeing some of the prices!!!
I'll need to give my new one a good workabout to see if it justifies the cost of what I paid for it, but srsly, £115 for a brand new one is taking the mick.

I could be wrong and be a total convert at the end of it all, but my cheapo Sparmax one lasted 2 years and did all the resin figures in this blog so I think it's pretty good and decent enough for most ppl, esp new starters!

Good post on airbrushes. I've been wanting to get into DIY GK due to alot of figures I want that are yet to be released in PVC form (and unlikely as well).

I guess the only thing stopping me so far is the price + lack of time. But honestly, why is it so goddamn expensive for a piece of metal and a wind blower?!
